Michel Perry, famous artist and shoe designer, has been interested in art from a very young age. “I’ve always enjoyed painting and drawing, he says. I had a knack for it, but I stopped when I began working.”
In 2000, Michel Perry joined an art studio in the Parisian neighbourhood of Montmartre, then went on to take classes at the School of Fine Arts in Montparnasse.
“The best part (of painting) is when I can capture a facial expression with just a few brushstrokes.”
He draws his inspiration from many places: from his château in Burgundy, to museums where he contemplates the work of masters: Turner, Cezanne, Fragonard, Rembrandt.
